I am a doctoral researcher in competition law at the European University Institute (EUI) in Florence, Italy. My research explores the legal avenues available for digital platforms to justify (otherwise) anticompetitive conduct in reference to privacy and cybersecurity considerations. I examine this question in the EU context, focusing on Article 102 TFEU and the Digital Markets Act. Prior to joining the EUI, I completed my legal studies at Tilburg University, graduating with an LLB and an LLM. I also hold a BSc in Economics from the same university as well as a second LLM in Comparative, European and International Laws from the EUI.
